Art Tutor
Waverley Community Learning Centre is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Art Tutor to facilitate our Children’s Sketching Class for 8-12 years old on Monday or Friday 4pm – 5:30pm.

- Qualification and/or experience in field of expertise to be taught.
- Prior tutoring and experience in a community managed organisation would be advantageous.
- Ability to communicate well with children and young people.
- Experience in adapting course content to suit a broad range of learners.
- Experience in teaching children and young people.
- A current first-aid certificate is preferred. If the successful applicant does not have a first-aid certificate they will be required to complete a first-aid course organised by Waverley Community Learning Centre.

Treasurer
Waverley Community Learning Centre (WCLC) is seeking a Treasurer to join its Board. The Treasurer is responsible for monitoring and overseeing the Organisation’s financial administration and reporting to the Board and Members.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure financial records meet accounting standards and legal requirements.
· Review budgets, monitor income and expenditure, and advise the Board.
· Coordinate preparation of financial statements and reports for the AGM.
· Recommend banking and investment strategies.
· Ensure compliance with taxation, superannuation, and insurance requirements.
Skills & Experience:
· Experience in financial management, bookkeeping, or accounting.
· Strong organisational and reporting skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively with the Centre Manager and Board.
This is an elected position at the AGM, with accountability to the Members and the Board.

4.2.3 Treasurer – Role Description
Position Title: Treasurer of the Board of Waverley Community Learning Centre

The Treasurer of the Waverley Community Learning Centre (WCLC) is directly elected by the Members at the Annual General Meeting.
The Treasurer, as the representative of the Board, is accountable for monitoring and oversight of the financial administration of the Organisation. The day to day financial management of the Organisation is the responsibility of the Centre Manager.
General Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensure that the financial processes of the Organisation incorporate satisfactory internal controls and meet the appropriate accounting standards.
2. Ensure all records pertaining to the Centre's financial affairs are maintained in such a manner that they are readily available as reports for the Board and can be conveniently audited.
3. Ensure that the financial records of the Association are kept in accordance with the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (AIR Act 2012) and its amendments.
4. Coordinate the preparation of the financial statements of the Association and their certification by the Board prior to their submission to the Annual General Meeting.
5. Review the annual budget prepared by the Centre Manager and Finance Officer for presentation to the Board.
6. Monitor actual income and expenditure regularly against budget estimates and, where necessary, explain discrepancies between budgeted and actual expenditure. Advise the Board of appropriate action.
7. Recommend to the Board banking and investment strategies for Centre funds.
8. Present financial reports to:
· the Board
· the Members of the Association at the Annual General Meeting.
9. Consult with the Centre Manager to ensure all information required by the auditor is provided.
10. Supervise the inspection of the financial records by Members of the Association in accordance with the Rules of Incorporation.
11. Advise the Board annually on the appropriate provision for long service leave entitlements and the value of assets for insurance purposes.
12. Ensure that appropriate processes are in place to meet the requirements of the Australian Taxation Office, Work Cover Authority and Superannuation Guarantee Fund.
The Treasurer may delegate aspects of the role but remains accountable.
